The new International SOS app puts TMNA security in the palm of your hand. Here’s what you need to know to stay in touch while you’re on the road

What It Does
 
The International SOS app is designed with business travelers and their safety in mind. It keeps team members informed of security incidents, natural disasters or safety threats they may encounter while on the road domestically or internationally for work. It’s also connected to a network of doctors and medical experts – should you need health advice or emergency care while traveling.
 
How It Works
 
Travel itineraries booked through Travel Services are uploaded to the app, which TMNA’s security operations team can access in case of emergency. Team members can also check in at various locations, leaving a virtual breadcrumb trail.
 
Why Is It Helpful?
 
“We had a pretty bad earthquake in Mexico City last year,” says Scott Keen, a consultant on the international security team. “We had multiple travelers in the city, so we were in crisis management mode reaching out to team members to make sure they’re alright. The airport had sinkholes, so we had to work to get them out – whether that’s finding them a hotel or using our security services to get them back home. That’s where this app is really helpful for us.”
 
Does the App Track Your Location?
 
No, the app doesn’t track your GPS location. You can share your location by “checking in” at various locations, but that’s optional.
 
How to Get It
 
The app is available to all team members. You can download it from the App Store, Google Store and Microsoft. Just search “International SOS.” If you are prompted to provide a client number during registration, use 1CPA972.
