The run up to the Olympic and Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020 has officially begun.
How do we know this? Because there’s a pin.
More specifically, it’s a “One Year Out” commemorative pin decorated with the Tokyo skyline and a Toyota Mirai Hydrogen Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle.
That’s the fun part.
The serious? Team Toyota’s athletes are dialing up their training regimens in hopes of delivering their best in Tokyo next summer. That includes U.S. Olympic gymnast Laurie Hernandez, a gold medalist in 2016 and one of Toyota’s leading lights four years later. She took time out from her preparations to offer her gratitude for the company’s support as she pursues her dreams. Wanna see? Take a look at the video above.
Meanwhile, TMNA President Jim Lentz has challenged team members to get in on the action, too. As a worldwide partner of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, Toyota has the opportunity select one team member to represent it in the iconic torch rally.
Want a shot at this once-in-a-lifetime experience? All you have to do is submit a video that demonstrates how you — or someone you wish to nominate — embody the spirit of “Start Your Impossible.” The contest is open to all U.S.-based team members. Here’s everything you need to know
The fun has just begun!
