A Veteran’s Commitment

A special thank you to Toyota’s veteran team members

November 11, 2019

Tristan Friend has seen war, having served 10 months in Iraq from 2016 to 2017. And soon, the TMNA production control analyst and captain in the U.S. Army will be returning to the Middle East for his second deployment.
As the communications co-chairman of the Plano chapter of the Toyota Veterans Association (TVA), Friend’s commitment to his fellow veterans and to his country is clear. Like so many others like him, he’ll do whatever it takes to serve his country.
“Democracy isn’t free,” Norm Fontaine, TVA Plano’s chairman and senior analyst, TMNA Corporate Compliance says. “And we know this through people like Tristan, who continues to elevate his role in the armed services and making us free.”
Toyota is proud of its commitment to veterans. Every day, our veteran team members amaze us with their courageous commitment to preserving our democracy. It’s truly a privilege to work along side them.
Today, in celebration of Veteran’s Day, I have three things to ask of you. First, watch Tristan’s story above. Second, check out your local TVA chapter. And third, please take the time to thank a veteran for their service.
