Though Toyota released many of the details of the 2020 Yaris Hatchback last week, it’s saving next week’s New York International Auto Show for this all-new vehicle’s public debut. In the meantime, here’s the skinny on a car that plays a key role introducing drivers to the Toyota brand.
Show-goers will get a good look at the Yaris’ new cab-rearward design and distinct hunkered-down bulldog-like stance.
Inside, they’ll discover a wide array of the latest multimedia technology — such as standard Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Bluetooth wireless connectivity, and a three-month All Access trial subscription to SiriusXM Satellite Radio when paired with a compatible mobile device.
Also standard: a low-speed Pre-Collision Safety System along with an Active Safety System that includes such technologies as Dynamic Stability Control, Traction Control System and Brake Override System.
Less obvious, until they can get behind the wheel, is a continuous framework fashioned from more extensive ultra-high tensile steel. The enhanced structural integrity allowed Toyota’s engineers to tune the suspension to, technically speaking, make the Yaris Hatchback a hoot to drive.
Look for the 2020 Yaris Hatchback at a Toyota dealer near you starting in the fall.
