Ready for Liftoff

Toyota prepares its first production vehicle powered by a hydrogen fuel cell for its U.S. retail debut

August 11, 2015

After more than 20 years of development, the Mirai - Toyota’s first production vehicle powered by a hydrogen fuel cell—is nearly ready for its U.S. retail debut.
In October, eight dealerships in California will begin delivering this breakthrough vehicle to customers. Dealerships will also be tasked with providing ongoing service and support, helping to pave the way for the dealers who will follow when production ramps up to full speed and a national network of hydrogen refueling stations is established.

This week, you can read about how Toyota is preparing to market this unique vehicle and about how one pioneering dealer is gearing up to sell it. An introduction to this technological marvel can be found by clicking here. And stay tuned for more Mirai-related stories next week, including a glimpse at how it's being manufactured and how Toyota's Washington, D.C. office is helping to build support for a network of hydrogen refueling stations.
Welcome to the future!
